HMS Victory

HMS Victory

This was an amazing sight to behold at the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth, UK. Lord Nelson's ship, the HMS Victory, which was in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Who would have thought that the ship would still be around after 200 years!

The photo, I'm afraid, is not as nice as I would've liked it to be (it was a cold and blustery winter's day) but it gives you an idea on how big the ship is. Just take a look at the size of those anchors at the front.

Btw, you can actually visit the ship and go on a guided tour. Very interesting and not to be missed!

Photo taken in December 2004, with a Nikon Coolpix 5400.
